Pow Alert! 15" forecasted for Hoodoo Ski Area

2018-02-23: Another round of snow is forecasted to bring 15 inches of pow to Hoodoo Ski Area. The slopes are sitting at a 23 inch total snowpack, and more accumulation is expected, with powder hungry skiiers and riders preparing as severe blizzard conditions are possible

With so much snow on its way, the NWS has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the ski area. Folks should be aware about Snow expected later today through Sunday. Heavy snow possible on Sunday. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 14 inches are expected for tonight through Saturday evening. Heavy snow will develop early Sunday, with 12 to 24 inches of snow likely Sunday and Sunday night. * . Travel will be very difficult to impossible at times, especially on Sunday. Strong gusty on Sunday will create near blizzard conditions over the passes, with significant blowing and drifting snow, and reduced visibilities.. The alert is in effect until 2018-02-26T00:00:00-08:00.

Other ski resorts slated to receive more snow in the coming days are Mt. Baker Ski Area in Washington forecasted to receive 24 inches of snow and Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort forecasted to receive 16 more inches in the next 72 hours
