30" of snowfall headed to Bear Valley Mountain Resort

2018-03-15: Winter weather is on the way and expected to bring 30 inches of more snowfall to Bear Valley Mountain Resort. The snow laden slopes are currently at a 40 inch current snowpack level, and more accumulation is expected, with powder chasers waxing their gear as severe intense blowing snow are likely


The prospect of severe weather has led to the NWS issuing a Winter Storm Warning for the ski area. Skiiers and snowboarders beware of Heavy snow expected. Travel will be very difficult to nearly impossible. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 4 feet, with localized amounts up to 5 feet, are expected. * . Be prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times.. The alert is in effect until 2018-03-17T05:00:00-07:00.



Other ski resorts expecting to get pow over the next 48 to 72 hours are Boreal Mountain Resort in California expecting to get 19 inches of snow and Dodge Ridge Ski Area expecting to get 30 more inches over the next 48 to 72 hours
