Winter Storm Warning! 16" of snow forecasted for Bear Valley Mountain Resort

2018-03-21: Snow is brewing, with the next storm expected to make landfall and dump 16 inches of fresh snow to Bear Valley Mountain Resort. The mountain has been getting a decent amount of snow this season, and has a 50 inch snow depth, and more accumulation is expected, with powder chasers waxing their gear as severe wintry weather are possible


Weather alerts have been issued for the area, including a Winter Storm Watch for the ski area. Things can get a bit dicey out there, so be cautious of Heavy snow possible. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches, localized amounts up to 20 inches, are possible. An additional 1 to 2 feet, with localized amounts up to 3 feet Friday through Saturday. * . Be prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times. Significant reductions in visibility are possible.. The alert is in effect until 2018-03-25T05:00:00-07:00.



Other ski resorts cued to get white stuff over the next 2-3 days are Dodge Ridge Ski Area in California expecting to get 16 inches of snow and June Mountain predicted to receive 26 more inches over the next 2-3 days
