Mountains across Washington like Brown Top and Elbow Lake are waking up to new snowfall this morning with Brown Top coated in 17 inches of powder over the past 24 hours. causing snowpacks to rise at Brown Top to 45 inches, with up to 4 inches of powder on its way as the next storm system hits this week. Elbow Lake reported 5 inches of more snow, causing snowpacks to rise up to 20 inches. Forecasts predict another 8 inches of fresh snow headed to the area over the next 5 days as the next storm rolls through.
