FLOW REPORT

Across the nation, river enthusiasts and water management experts are observing a dynamic fluctuation in streamflows, with certain rivers experiencing higher than average levels due to various weather conditions. The Mississippi River is swelling significantly at key locations like Memphis, Tennessee; Vicksburg, Mississippi; and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with streamflow readings reaching as high as 868,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) in Memphis. Meanwhile, the Ohio River is also recording high streamflows at locations such as Cannelton, Indiana, and Greenup, Kentucky. Cities along these rivers, including major hubs like Memphis and Baton Rouge, should stay informed about potential flooding or navigation impacts. Conversely, areas such as the Strait of Georgia are observing lower streamflows than average, indicating regional disparities in water conditions.

Zooming out to our watersheds, the Middle Tombigbee-Lubbub is seeing flows at 145.04% above normal, signaling flooded conditions. This contrasts with the Des Plaines and Western Wild Rice ... Read More
