9 to 14 inches of new snow across California, Idaho, and Montana bringing some much needed snow to the regions. Mountains across California like Dismal Swamp and Independence Lake are reporting fresh snow this morning with Dismal Swamp coated in 14 inches of more snow over the past 24 hours. causing snowpacks to rise at Dismal Swamp to 35 inches, with up to 2 inches of fresh snow headed to the area over the next 5 days as the next storm rolls through. Independence Lake reported 12 inches of fresh snow, causing snowpacks to rise up to 49 inches. Forecasts predict another 3 inches of fresh snow expected this week.


Idaho mountains got a fresh coat of snow this morning, with up to 11 inches of fresh snow in some areas. Mountain Meadows reported the most in Idaho and woke up to 11 inches of fresh snow this morning, with another 4 inches of more snow on its way as the next storm system hits this week. Banner Summit in Idaho enjoyed 9 inches of powder this morning, bringing snowpack depths up to 51 inches.



We've also seen mountains across Montana reporting fresh snow this morning with 8 mountain locations across the state seeing fresh snow from the latest storm. Mountains like Nevada Ridge are sitting at snowpack levels around 41 inches this morning, thanks to 13 inches of new snow during the course of the past 24 hours.
