Widgeon Key Shoreline Campsite

Amenities Weather Recreation

The Widgeon Key Shoreline Campsite is a developed, non-reservable, fee area located in the Havasu-Mohave Lakes watershed of California. The campground is situated on the beautiful shoreline of Lake Havasu, providing stunning views of the water and the surrounding mountains.

The area is known for its excellent fishing opportunities, with both warm and cold-water fish species available for anglers to catch. Nearby points of interest include the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge, Lake Havasu State Park, and the historic London Bridge.

Campground amenities include picnic tables, fire pits, and vault toilets. There is no potable water available, so visitors must bring their own supply.

Interesting facts about the area include that Lake Havasu is home to one of the largest concentrations of California bighorn sheep in the state, and that the London Bridge was actually transported from England and reconstructed in Lake Havasu City in the late 1960s.

The best time of year to visit is in the spring or fall, when temperatures are mild and comfortable. Average temperatures in the spring (March to May) range from 63°F to 85°F, and in the fall (September to November) from 66°F to 89°F.
