The Willows Camping Area is situated in the San Juan National Forest in southwestern Colorado, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The campground amenities include picnic tables, fire pits, and vault toilets. It is a first-come, first-serve campground with a total of 16 campsites available. An interesting fact about the area is that it was used as a filming location for the movie "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."

The best time to visit the Willows Camping Area is from June to August, with average temperatures ranging from 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and cooling down to the 40s at night. Visitors will enjoy the pleasant weather and lush vegetation during this time of year, but it is important to note that the campground may be crowded during peak season.
