Bousquet Ski Area is a small, family-friendly ski resort in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The ski area features 23 trails, with the best being the intermediate-level Chute and the advanced-level Tombstone. Few people know that Bousquet was the birthplace of modern snowmaking, with a patent for artificial snowmaking filed by the resort's founder in 1950. For beginner skiers, the gentle slopes of the bunny hill and the learning area are excellent places to start. The best apres ski bar is the Rusty Anchor, located at the base of the mountain, which offers live music, classic cocktails, and a cozy atmosphere.
Bousquet Ski Area is located in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts. The ski resort is situated on the slopes of Bousquet Mountain, which is part of the Taconic Range. The mountain has a summit elevation of 1,818 feet and offers skiers and snowboarders a vertical drop of 750 feet. Bousquet Mountain features a variety of terrain, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced runs, as well as a terrain park for freestyle riders.
