14 inches of new snow today across regions of California, Nevada, and Washington bringing some much needed snow to the regions. Mountains across California like Leavitt Lake and Summit Meadow are waking up to new snowfall this morning with Leavitt Lake coated in 14 inches of fresh snow since yesterday. with current snowpack depths rising at Leavitt Lake to 141 inches, with up to 2 inches of powder forecasted this week. Summit Meadow reported 11 inches of new snow, bringing snowpack depths up to 60 inches. Forecasts predict another 2 inches of more snow on its way as the next storm system hits this week.
