The park is located near the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum, and the Mississippi Children's Museum. The campground includes 28 primitive campsites and 18 RV sites with full hookups, picnic tables, and grills. Reservations are recommended but first-come-first-serve options are available. The best time to visit is during the fall and spring months when temperatures range from the mid-60s to low 80s Fahrenheit. Visitors can enjoy hiking, fishing, boating, and picnicking at the park.
