Located in the Hart Mountain National Antelope Refuge in southeastern Oregon, Camp Hart Mountain offers breathtaking views of the surrounding high desert landscape. Activities include hiking, bird watching, and wildlife viewing, including the chance to see pronghorn antelope and bighorn sheep. The campground has 17 sites, each with a picnic table and fire pit, as well as vault toilets and potable water. The campground is first-come, first-served and is open from May through November, with the best time to visit being in the fall when temperatures are cooler, averaging around 50-60°F during the day.
