Winberry campground
Winberry
The campground offers 31 campsites, each equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. RVs up to 22 feet in length are welcome, but there are no hookups available. Other amenities include a vault toilet, potable water, and garbage disposal.
Reservations are required and can be made up to six months in advance. The campground is open from May through October.
An interesting fact about the area is that Winberry Creek, which runs through the campground, is named after the winberry plant, also known as the trailing blackberry, that grows abundantly in the region.
The best time to visit the Winberry Camping Area is during the summer months, when temperatures average in the mid-70s during the day and low 50s at night. It’s a great spot for those looking to escape the city and immerse themselves in nature.
