Winberry Camping Area is a picturesque forest campground located in the Willamette National Forest in Oregon. The campground boasts stunning views of the surrounding mountains, including the Three Sisters, and is situated near several hiking trails, including the popular Proxy Falls Trail. Visitors can also explore nearby spots like the Cougar Reservoir and the McKenzie River Trail.

The campground offers 31 campsites, each equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. RVs up to 22 feet in length are welcome, but there are no hookups available. Other amenities include a vault toilet, potable water, and garbage disposal.

Reservations are required and can be made up to six months in advance. The campground is open from May through October.

An interesting fact about the area is that Winberry Creek, which runs through the campground, is named after the winberry plant, also known as the trailing blackberry, that grows abundantly in the region.

The best time to visit the Winberry Camping Area is during the summer months, when temperatures average in the mid-70s during the day and low 50s at night. It’s a great spot for those looking to escape the city and immerse themselves in nature.
