Reservations and permits aren't required, and camping is free. Amenities include vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, and stock water (seasonal)—but no potable water or hookups. RVs up to 24 ft are allowed, though the access road is narrow and unpaved. Set in a scenic forested area near the Kettle Crest Trail, it’s ideal for horseback riding, hiking, and wildlife viewing. Best visited June–September for dry trails and pleasant weather. A peaceful, rustic mountain retreat.
