Watershed Hydrology

The Lower Boise Watershed (HUC 17050114) covers an area of approximately 3,127 square miles in southwestern Idaho, USA. The watershed receives an average annual precipitation of 11 inches, which is mostly in the form of snow during winter. The hydrology of the watershed is heavily influenced by the Boise River, which runs through it and supports a diverse range of aquatic life. The surface water quality in the watershed is generally considered good, with few issues related to water contamination.
