An excellent stretch of whitewater below the Joe Wright and the Big South fork best combined with one of the above stretches. Scout the takeout eddy for Poudre Falls before running this section. 1/4 mile above the falls is Rocket Launcher, which deserves a scout. Its capricious hole and short distance above Poudre Falls makes this drop also a frequent portage.
Suggested river levels for paddling this section of the Cache La Poudre River are between a bare minimum of 150cfs and a high of 1,500cfs.
