...FIRE WEATHER WATCH FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING FOR THE NORTHEAST AND EAST CENTRAL HIGHLANDS, NORTHEAST PLAINS, WEST CENTRAL MOUNTAINS, AND NORTHWEST PLATEAU DUE TO STRONG WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY... .Strong southwest winds will develop on Friday as an upper level trough crossing the Four Corners region strengthens the flow aloft over New Mexico, and a surface trough develops in the lee of the southern Rockies. Humidities will also plummet below 15 percent as high temperatures climb around 7 to 18 degrees above 30-year averages. The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Fire Weather Watch...which is in effect from Friday afternoon through Friday evening. * AREA AND TIMING...Northeast and East Central Highlands (Zones 123 and 125), Northeast Plains (Zone 104), West Central Mountains (Zone 105), and Northwest Plateau (101) from 1 to 8 PM MDT. * 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...9 to 11 percent, except up to 16 percent around Farmington. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended..
