An Air Quality Alert for wildfire smoke has been issued by the following agencies: Puget Sound Clean Air Agency Olympic Region Clean Air Agency An Air Quality Alert has been issued for King, Kitsap, Pierce, Snohomish, and Thurston Counties through 5pm Wednesday August 5 due to expected wildfire smoke from regional fires. Air quality conditions are expected to worsen throughout the day today as smoke begins to mix down to the surface. Particulate matter (PM2.5) concentrations may reach UNHEALTHY FOR SENSITIVE GROUPS. When air quality is UNHEALTHY FOR SENSITIVE GROUPS, individuals with health concerns and pre-existing conditions should reduce exposure and take precautions. This means limiting time outside, avoiding strenuous activity, and following tips for cleaner indoor air.
