Edwards Lake Dam, located in Green River, Henry County, Illinois, was completed in 1974 by designer Orval Paxton for the primary purpose of recreation. The dam, standing at a height of 34 feet and a length of 225 feet, holds a storage capacity of 85 acre-feet, with normal storage at 61 acre-feet.
