North Mayo River
The North Mayo River is located in the northwestern region of North Carolina and runs for approximately 30 miles. It has a rich history dating back to the 18th century when it was used for transportation and fishing by the Cherokee tribe. The river is fed by several tributaries and is known for its clear water and scenic views. The river has several reservoirs including the Belews Lake and Mayo Lake, which provide drinking water and recreational activities such as fishing and boating.
