Big White Ski Resort in British Columbia offers over 118 trails with a great mix of beginner, intermediate, and expert runs. The resort boasts the largest night skiing area in Western Canada and an interesting fact is that the resort was originally planned as a retirement community. For beginners, the best suggestion is to head to the Happy Valley area where there are plenty of easy runs and a dedicated learning area. For après ski, the Gunbarrel Saloon is the go-to spot with live music, a cozy atmosphere, and great drinks.
