About the Area

Ski Sundown is a ski resort located in New Hartford, Connecticut. Its top trails are the black diamond trails, Tom's Treat and Gunbarrel, which provide a challenging skiing experience for advanced skiers. A lesser-known fact is that the resort used to be a farm and was converted into a ski resort in 1964. For beginners, the recommended trail is the Easy Street, which is ideal for learning and building up skiing confidence. Après ski activities are limited, but the popular recommendation for the best bar to visit is the Fire at The Ridge at the bottom of the mountain, which provides a cozy atmosphere with a fireplace, craft beers, and live music performances.
