Kentucky is not known for its skiing but there are a couple of ski resorts in the state. The most popular resort is the Paoli Peaks located in Indiana, just across the Kentucky state border. Paoli Peaks has an average snowfall of 55 inches per year with a base depth of 24 inches. The resort offers 15 trails, three terrain parks, and nine lifts. The best month to visit Paoli Peaks is in January and February when the snow conditions are at their best.

Another skiing option in Kentucky is the Perfect North Slopes located in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, also just across the Kentucky state border. Perfect North Slopes has an average snowfall of 20 inches per year with a base depth of 24 inches. The resort offers 23 trails, three terrain parks, and 11 lifts. The best month to visit Perfect North Slopes is in December and January when the snow conditions are at their best.
