...PERIODS OF ICE, SLEET, AND SNOW CONTINUE INTO THIS AFTERNOON... .We have seen ice accumulations up to two tenths on elevated surfaces overnight in central Minnesota, with the wintry mix starting to shift to snow in western and central Minnesota. Snow amounts of 1 to 3 inches will be possible across western and central Minnesota through this morning. The Winter Weather Advisory remains in place across western and central Minnesota into northwest Wisconsin. However, the advisory has been canceled for all but the northern metro in the Twin Cities, down through Mankato and Fairmont. Temperatures have remained above freezing overnight in these areas, which greatly reduced the icing potential. In addition up to 1 inch of snow is expected. Given the limited winter impacts anticipated across these areas, the advisory was cancelled. * WHAT...Mixed precipitation. Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and any additional ice accumulations of a light glaze. * WHERE...Portions of central, east central, south central, and southwest Minnesota. * WHEN...Until 4 PM CDT this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.
