According to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the Garfield Avenue 1100 boat ramp in Hubbell is a concrete ramp with a width of 16 feet. It provides access to Torch Lake, which is part of the Portage Waterway. Torch Lake covers an area of 2,700 acres and has a maximum depth of 111 feet. The waterway is suitable for a variety of watercraft including fishing boats, kayaks, canoes, pontoons, and jet skis.
