...RED FLAG WARNING FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THE EARLY EVENING FOR WESTERN AND PORTIONS OF CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA... .Critical fire weather conditions are expected Friday afternoon through early Friday evening across western and portions of central North Dakota. Temperatures will climb to into the 70s degrees, with afternoon minimum relative humidity dropping as low as 12 percent. Southerly winds will increase to around 20 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph possible. Any initial attack fires will rapidly spread and become difficult to suppress. The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 11 AM CDT /10 AM MDT/ to 9 PM CDT /8 PM MDT/ Friday. * WINDS...South 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 12 percent. * AFFECTED AREA...Western and Central North Dakota. * IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control or suppress.
