The campground is located on the banks of Lake Tuscaloosa, offering scenic views of the water and surrounding woods. Fishing and boating are popular activities, and there are nearby hiking trails. Amenities are limited to a few vault toilets and fire rings, but there is no potable water available. The best time to visit is in the fall when temperatures are mild, averaging around 70°F during the day and 50°F at night.
