Turney Gulch Group Campground is located in the Tonto National Forest, Arizona. The camping area is surrounded by picturesque views of the mountains and the lush green trees. The area is also home to various wildlife such as birds, elk, and deer.

There are plenty of nearby points of interest to explore, including hiking trails, fishing spots, and horseback riding. The Mogollon Rim, Tonto Natural Bridge State Park, and the Payson Rodeo Grounds are all a short drive away from the campsite.

The campground offers amenities such as picnic tables, grills, and toilets. The area is available for group camping only and reservations are required. There are 11 campsites available, which can accommodate up to 100 people.

An interesting fact about the area is that it was once a mining camp in the late 1800s. The campsite is named after a miner named Jim Turney who discovered gold in the area.
