The YP 2 camping area is located in the Angeles National Forest in California, offering stunning views of the San Gabriel Mountains. Nearby points of interest include the Mt. Baldy Ski Resort, where visitors can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and other winter activities. The San Antonio Falls is also a popular sightseeing spot with a trail that leads to the base of the waterfall.

The campground amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets. The area is available for both reservation and first-come, first-served camping. There are 15 campsites available, with a maximum occupancy of six people per site.

An interesting fact about the YP 2 camping area is that it's located near the historic Route 66, a popular highway that stretched from Chicago to Santa Monica.

The best time of year to visit the YP 2 camping area is during the summer, from June to September, when the weather is warm and dry with average temperatures ranging from 70-85°F during the day and 50-60°F at night. However, visitors should be prepared for potential thunderstorms during the summer months.
