Kingston Lake State Forest Campground in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula offers 18 rustic, first-come, first-served campsites nestled in a quiet, forested setting along the lake.

Summary

No reservations or permits are needed, but there is a small fee. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table; vault toilets are available, but there’s no potable water—bring your own. RVs are allowed (no hookups). The peaceful, lakeside vibe is ideal for paddling, fishing, and wildlife watching. The area connects to the Kingston Plains and Pictured Rocks trails.
