Reservations are recommended via the Minnesota DNR website; fees apply. The campground features cart-in sites, group camps, and camper cabins, all with picnic tables, fire rings, and access to pit toilets and seasonal water spigots (no hookups or flush toilets). RVs are not allowed within the main campground. The setting is serene and lakeside, with oak savannas, prairies, and quiet woods. Popular nearby trails include the Annie Battle Lake loop and multi-use Glendalough Trail. Spring through fall offers the best experience, especially for birding, paddling, and hiking in this peaceful, vehicle-free retreat.
