Chamois Access MDC Camping Area in Missouri is a first-come-first-serve campground with 23 primitive campsites. The campground is located on the Missouri River and offers scenic views of the river and bluffs. The area is ideal for fishing, boating, and hiking with nearby access to the Katy Trail. The best time to visit is in the spring and fall with average temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to mid-70s. Amenities include fire rings, picnic tables, and vault toilets. There is no potable water or electrical hookups available, so campers must bring their own supplies.
