With 83 sites, Many Glacier is larger than Rising Sun, which has 84 sites.

Both campgrounds are situated in a prime location for wildlife sightings, with bears, moose, and mountain goats frequently spotted in the area. An interesting fact about Medicine Glacier National Park is that it is home to over 130 named lakes, as well as countless smaller ones.

The best time to visit these campground areas is during the summer months, from June to August. During this time, temperatures range from 50°F to 70°F, making it comfortable for camping and exploration in the surrounding areas. However, visitors should note that these campgrounds are only open from mid-May to mid-September, and road closures may occur due to inclement weather outside of this time frame.
