Upper Fir Group Campground


The Upper Fir Group Campground is located in the Carson National Forest in New Mexico and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, forests, and meadows. The campground is situated near several nearby points of interest, including the Red River Ski Area, the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway, and the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument.

The Upper Fir Group Campground is equipped with amenities such as picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets. The campground is first-come-first-serve, and there are six campsites available for groups of up to 50 people.

An interesting fact about the area is that it was once home to the Ute and Jicarilla Apache tribes, who used the land for hunting, fishing, and gathering medicinal plants.
