The area is also known for its numerous hiking trails and waterfalls, including the nearby Gorges State Park and Pisgah National Forest. The campground has primitive tent sites, RV sites, and cabins available for reservations. Amenities include a bathhouse, picnic tables, fire rings, and a playground. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis, except for the cabins which require a reservation. There are 62 campsites available, with prices ranging from $20 to $35 per night. The best time to visit is from May to October when temperatures range from the 60s to the 80s Fahrenheit.
