Tollbridge Camping Area is located in eastern Oregon, near the town of Parkdale, and offers beautiful views of Mount Hood and the Hood River Valley. The campground is situated within the Mount Hood National Forest and is surrounded by lush forests and the serene Tollbridge Park. The area offers numerous hiking and biking trails, as well as fishing and swimming opportunities in the nearby Hood River.
The campground amenities include drinking water, picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets. Visitors can choose from 27 campsites, which are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. There are no reservations allowed for this campground.
One interesting fact about the area is that Tollbridge was once a small community that was connected by a toll bridge across the Hood River. Today, only remnants of the bridge remain and the area has been transformed into a beautiful camping spot.
The best time of year to visit Tollbridge Camping Area is from June to September, with average temperatures ranging from the low 50s to the mid-70s°F. Visitors can enjoy sunny days and cool nights, making it an ideal spot for outdoor activities.
