The surrounding views are breathtaking and will leave visitors in awe. The campsite is situated near the base of the stunning Blue Mountains and offers exceptional views of the range. The nearby points of interest include the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, the Sumpter Valley Railroad, and the Ghost Town of Granite.

The campground provides a range of amenities that include picnic tables, fire pits, and a vault toilet. The campground is also equipped with potable water. The campground is first-come-first-serve, and there are 11 campsites available. Visitors are advised that there are no electrical or sewer hookups available.

An interesting fact about the area is that the Wagonblast Camp is situated on the site of an old Oregon Trail wagon train encampment. The best time to visit the campground is in the summer months, with July and August being the busiest. During these months, the average temperature ranges from 85°F-90°F during the day and drops to 55°F-60°F at night. Visitors are advised to bring sunscreen, insect repellent, and plenty of water to stay hydrated during their visit.
