Campsites are primitive—no hookups—but include fire rings, picnic tables, and pit toilets; no potable water is available, so bring your own. RVs are allowed but without amenities. Camping is free, but some areas may require a permit from the DCNR. The lakeside setting is peaceful and forested, ideal for paddling, fishing, and wildlife viewing. Nearby attractions include the Clarion River and trails in Elk and Moshannon State Forests. Best visited late spring to early fall for mild weather and foliage. Reservations aren't needed for primitive sites.
