A free permit may be required for stays over one night (check with the Tiadaghton State Forest office). Amenities are minimal: no toilets, no potable water, no hookups. Campers must be self-sufficient. Fire rings may be present at some sites; bring your own grill and water. The area is forested and peaceful, with scenic views near Pine Creek Gorge. Popular nearby activities include hiking the Mid State Trail and exploring the Pine Creek Rail Trail. Best time to visit is late spring through early fall for mild weather and lush greenery.
