This camping area offers stunning views of the surrounding forest and has easy access to nearby lakes and hiking trails. One of the most popular attractions near the campground is the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, which has over 1.5 million acres of forested land. Another nearby point of interest is the Peshtigo River, which is ideal for fishing, kayaking, and canoeing.

The campground offers basic amenities such as picnic tables, fire pits, and vault toilets. The camping area is first-come-first-serve, so campers should arrive early to secure a spot. There are 10 campsites available, and each site can accommodate up to six people.

An interesting fact about the Turkey Ridge Tent Campground is that it is located near the site of the Peshtigo Fire of 1871, which was one of the deadliest wildfires in U.S. history. The fire burned over 1.2 million acres and killed more than 1,500 people.
