Clarendon is a small town located in Donley County, Texas. The climate in Clarendon is semi-arid with hot summers and mild winters. The town sits on the Pampa Aquifer, which is the primary source of water for the area. The water in the aquifer contains high levels of dissolved solids, including sulfate and chloride. Despite this, Clarendon has a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities, including fishing and boating at Greenbelt Reservoir, hiking and camping at Palo Duro Canyon State Park, and hunting in the surrounding prairies.
