The stretch features several Class III and IV rapids, including the infamous "Devil's Washbowl," which requires expert maneuvering. The best time of year to float this section of water is during the spring months when the water levels are higher. The recommended flow rate for a safe and enjoyable trip is between 300 and 1,000 cfs. Due to the challenging nature of the rapids, this section of the Bruneau River is recommended for experienced kayakers and rafters only.
