The ideal streamflow range for this section is between 300 and 1,500 cfs. The class rating for Bear Canyon is Class III-IV, with several obstacles and rapids such as "The Toilet Bowl," "The Chute," and "The Widowmaker." This section of the river spans 5 miles and takes around 2-3 hours to complete.
