Class III-V River Run

The Whitewater River Run in Wyoming is an exciting adventure for experienced rafters. The ideal streamflow range for the river is between 1,000 and 3,000 cubic feet per second (cfs). The river is rated Class III and IV, with some sections reaching Class V. The segment mileage of the river run varies depending on the put-in and take-out points, ranging from 8 to 12 miles.

Some of the notable rapids and obstacles on the Whitewater River Run include the "Big Drops," a series of large drops with technical maneuvers required to navigate them. Other challenges on the river include "The Dizzy," a rapid with a tight turn and a steep drop, and "The S-Turn," a rapid with a section of narrow, technical rapids.

There are specific regulations in place for the Whitewater River Run to ensure safety and preservation of the natural environment. Rafters are required to wear a personal flotation device at all times while on the river. Additionally, there are restrictions on the use of motorized watercraft on certain sections of the river.
