Southwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph. Ridge wind gusts will reach up to 125 mph. For the Winter Storm Watch Sunday-Tuesday: Heavy snow with 4 to 8 inches below 7000 feet. 1 to 3 feet possible above 7000 feet. * WHERE...Mono County. * WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, from 4 PM this afternoon to 10 PM PST Saturday. For the Winter Storm Watch, from late Sunday night through Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening and Monday morning commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.
