ESFIWX Showers and thunderstorms may bring some locally heavy rainfall Wednesday night, especially for areas roughly along and east of the Interstate 69 corridor. Additional rounds of rain are expected at times from Friday into the weekend across northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. Early indications suggest there is a potential for total rainfall amounts in the 2 to 5 inch range from Wednesday through the weekend across much of the Upper Wabash and Maumee river basins across northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. Runoff from this rainfall over the next several days will lead to likely rises on area rivers along with a potential of areal flooding. There is a potential of at least some moderate river flooding if the higher end rainfall amounts in the forecasted range occur. There is still some uncertainty where the heaviest rain will fall for the Friday through Sunday period. Persons should closely monitor forecasts over the next several days including the possibility of any flood watches, warnings, and advisories.
