Summary

The park covers an area of approximately 21 acres and offers a variety of activities for visitors. One of the main attractions of the park is the large playground area which is equipped with slides, swings, and climbing structures.

In addition to the playground, the park also has several sports fields including baseball, basketball, and soccer fields. There is also a community garden where visitors can participate in planting and harvesting vegetables.

Lawncrest Park is also home to several events and festivals throughout the year, including the Lawncrest 4th of July Celebration and the Lawncrest Lions Club Fall Festival.

Interesting facts about the park include that it was originally a landfill before it was converted into a park in the 1950s. The park is also home to a historic marker commemorating the Battle of the Clouds, a Revolutionary War battle that occurred nearby.

The best time of year to visit the park is during the summer months when the playground and sports fields are in full use, and when many of the park's events take place. However, the park is open year-round and visitors can enjoy the community garden and walking trails in the cooler months.
