Visitors can enjoy a 1.2-mile trail that takes them through the park's beautiful wooded area, along the shoreline of the Potomac River, and across a bridge over a small stream. Along the way, they can see a variety of wildlife, including herons, turtles, and deer. The park also has a fishing pier that offers a great spot for anglers to catch a variety of fish, including catfish, bass, and white perch.

One of the most interesting facts about Plum Point Park is that it was once a Native American settlement. The park is also home to a World War II-era bunker that was used by the Army Corps of Engineers. Visitors can take a look inside the bunker and learn about its history.

The best time of year to visit Plum Point Park is during the spring and fall when the weather is mild, and the foliage is at its best. However, the park is open year-round and offers plenty of activities throughout the year.
