The Grosvenor Arch is a stunning natural sandstone formation located in the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness Area of Utah. It is a double arch, with two massive sandstone spans measuring 152 feet wide and 92 feet tall. The arch was named after Gilbert Grosvenor, the president of the National Geographic Society, who visited the site in 1949. It is believed to be more than 160 million years old, with the sandstone formed from the deposition of sediment carried by ancient rivers and streams.
