Streamflow discharge was last observed at 401 cfs, and a gauge height of 24.23 feet.
With the
% decrease since yesterday,
the streamflow average over the past 10 days is 347 .
Weather today, Tomorrow,
The flow is provided by tributaries such as the New River and Alamo River, and the reservoir is supplied by the Colorado River. The outlet is regulated by the Brock Reservoir Dam, which was constructed in the 1930s. Seasonal trends show higher flows during the winter and spring due to increased precipitation and snowmelt. Interestingly, the New River that feeds into the reservoir is one of the most polluted rivers in the country, with high levels of agricultural runoff and wastewater. Water from the reservoir is used for irrigation in the Imperial Valley, but efforts are being made to improve water quality in the region.
